Tis the Season
A small casual modpack focused on Serene Seasons and watching your world change around you.
Список изменений
With this update I will now consider the modpack to be out of beta and officially released! This is because I have accomplished everything I set out to do when I first made the modpack, anything else I add from here will be considered a bonus! Read on to see the changes in the biggest update this modpack has had!
-
Updated all mods to the latest versions.
- This includes new stuff from Supplementaries.
- This includes the newest release of Clifftree.
- Added Plunderers and Plunderer ships to oceans.
- Plunderers can use the cannons on their ships and boats to sink your vessel!
- This includes changes from Seasonal Integration v1.3.0 to v1.4.1. Please check those changelogs for those changes!
-
Added Pillager Caravans.
- This adds wandering caravans which journey across biomes. They are full of loot but guarded by plenty of different Illagers.
- They come in various sizes and change according to what biome they first spawn in.
- Will you risk dying to them for the loot they carry or will you let them pass by with their ill-gotten goods?
-
Added Just Enough Effect Descriptions (JEED)
- Allows you to see descriptions of potion effects via JEI.
- Mainly added to help people understand modded potion effects that aren't particularly intuitive.
-
Added Revamped Wolf
- This mod enhances wolf AI to make them stick together better as a pack.
- Also allows wolves to pick food up off the ground and eat it to heal themselves.
-
Added Enderscape
- Added to give the end more content without adding too much.
- The Goal is to make it similar in content to 1.16's nether.
-
Added Clean Tooltips
- Adds some extra info to tooltips such as durability.
- Tells you an enchantment is max level by making it's name appear in gold.
- Added Gardens of the Dead
- Adds a couple more biomes to the nether which are variants of existing ones.
- Whistlecane forest
- A variant of the crimson forest with whistlecane growing in big quantities and far fewer crimson fungi.
- Soulblight Forest
- A variant of the soul sand valley with soulblight fungi growing on soul sand and soul soil with other new vegetation to accompany them.
- Whistlecane forest
-
Added Combat Noveau
- Implements changes from the combat test snapshots that released a while ago.
- Getting hurt will interrupt eating/drinking.
- Snowballs and eggs now stack to 64 and regular potions stack to 16.
- You can now hold the attack button to repeatedly attack.
- Drinking potions/soups and stews should be much faster.
- Tiny mobs such as rabbits and baby zombies should be a lot easier to hit.
- Shields now have an indicator to show that it is up and that you're being protected.
- Implements changes from the combat test snapshots that released a while ago.
-
Added Convenient effects.
- Tweaks a few potion effects to make them better or less intrusive.
- Makes potion particles way less visible when in first person.
-
Added Cut Through.
- Let's you hit mobs through grass and other foliage that would otherwise negate your attack.
-
Added Particular
- Adds some nice particle and water effects for some increased ambience!
-
Added Cool Rain
- Changes the sound that rain makes when hitting the ground depending on what block the rain is landing on.
-
Added Wakes
- Leaves a disturbance (wake) in water when travelling in a boat or swimming.
-
Removed Auroras, Iris and Complementary Shaders.
- This is mainly due to performance issues on lower end devices but also to resolve some conflicts with other mod's rendering effects.
- Auroras unfortunately either wouldn't spawn or didn't look good with the other mods I have so they have been removed. I couldn't seem to get it's config file working either.
-
Added Custom Lunar Events via the modpack's internal datapack!
- Snow Moon
- Dark Blue moon with Dark Blue skylight.
- Players get the frost effect during this event, slowing them down and making them slowly freeze to death if they are outdoors. Leather armour will prevent freezing but will not prevent the slowdown effect.
- Cold variant mobs replace normal mob spawning during this event.
- Cannot sleep through this night due to the extreme cold.
- Slightly more hostile mobs than normal.
- Beacons have 50% less range due to the cold.
- Winter Crops have quadruple yields if the event occurs during Winter.
- Xp Drops are reduced by 25% during this night.
- Anvil and enchanting table costs are 25% more during this night.
- Hunter's Moon
- Orange moon with orange skylight aiming to give a Halloween vibe.
- Only undead spawn during this event but more than normal.
- Undead animals can spawn during this event too.
- Cannot sleep through this night due to the watchful dead.
- Slightly more hostile mobs than normal.
- Every mob on the surface gets the strength effect (Including Players)!
- Xp drops are increased by 50% and anvil and enchanting table costs are reduced by 25% during this event!
- Beacons have 50% more range during this event.
- Autumn Crops have triple yields if this event occurs during Autumn.
- Wolf Moon
- Regular White Moon with White Skylight
- Loads of wolves spawning.
- Includes skeleton and zombie wolves too!
- Only Skeletons as the hostiles during this night.
- Moon is bigger than normal during this event.
- Moonlight is bright enough during this event to allow you to see as if it was daytime!
- Beacons have 25% more range during this event.
- Flower Moon
- Pink Moon and Pink Skylight
- Huge amount of passive mob spawns.
- Hostile mobs are largely absent from the surface. (Those that aren't are weaker and take more damage).
- Players and all Passive mobs get the regeneration and relief effects.
- All flowers have double yields during this event.
- Spring Crops have triple yields if this event occurs during Spring.
- Meadow Moon
- Green Moon and Green Skylight
- Peaceful night with Hostile mobs completely absent from the surface.
- Players get the Resistance, Comfort, Nourishment and Restful effects for the duration of the night.
- Summer crops have triple yields if this event occurs during Summer.
- All new events come with Super moon variants too!
- Super moon variants all have doubled effects from their regular counterparts.
- The Blood Moon from base enhanced celestials has been updated to give all hostile mobs the speed effect if they are exposed to the sky.
- With the addition of 5 more lunar events and with blood moons being much rarer as a result, it felt necessary to make them more impactful while not changing their existing effects too much. This change felt like a good middle ground.

Changes/fixes to existing mods or settings
- Added Upgrade Aquatic's river saplings to fishing loot tables if you are in any river biomes.
- Added Upgrade Aquatic's River trees to sandy beaches, oceans, swamps and rainforest basins.
- Due to the way that rivers generate with Clifftree and Tectonic it means that there is virtually no dry land occurring in river biomes to allow river trees to spawn, making them exceedingly difficult to find. So these changes have been made as an alternative way to get them.
- Fixed Camels spawning deep underground.
- Disabled Farmer's Delight rope in favour of Supplementaries's rope
- Recipes have been adjusted to ensure that it is as easy to get as Farmer's Delight's Rope.
- Added Ecologic's beach features to Clifftree's Tropical Beach.
- Adjusted the dimension settings for Lunar events so that Serene Seasons and Enhanced Celestials agree on how long a Minecraft year is (96 days).
If you have any feedback on how things are (especially surrounding the new lunar events) please let me know either on here or open an issue on the github and I'd be happy to take a look! I hope you enjoy what I consider to be the definitive version of Tis the Season! I will still be updating this modpack in the future but it will be likely be smaller than this version and just some small changes and optimisations to make things work better and more cohesively.
Cheers!
