This is a specially designed Modded DATA pack to implement worldgen/tag/data tweaks for the upcoming Wildborne Modpack!

- FIXED THE SINKHOLE CONFIGURED CARVER TO STOP REPLACING BEDROCK WITH LAVA AND INCREASE PERFORMANCE
- Removed some Desert Sinkhole & Temperate Sinkhole entries to reduce their chances so multiple wouldn't spawn in the immediate vacinity of each other and lag the world generation
- Drastically simplified the density functions & noise configurations to maximize compatibility with Epic Terrain Compatible
- FIXED COMPATIBILITY WITH EPIC TERRAIN COMPATIBLE'S UNDERGROUND RIVERS
- Utilized Biomes O' Plenty's configured lake features intead of Vanilla Minecraft's to maximize compatibility with other mods and prevent feature crashes
- Slightly altered the grass colors of the Muskeg, Dead Forest and Old Growth Dead Forest Biomes O' Plenty biomes to enhance their "dead" look
- FIXED/IMPROVED Wildborne Fossil Structure generation placement slightly to blend with the landscape better
ADDED:
- A TON of general NeoForge tags for biome region compatibility/consistency
- Added various biome mod blocks from Regions Unexplored, Biomes O' Plenty and Biomes We've Gone to the #minecraft:overworld_carver_replaceables tag so sinkholes would have less "floating" blocks

release23 марта 2026 г.NOTE: I tried my best to get my custom biomes, features/structures and data to load in vanilla regardless of mods, but due to the MAJOR bug in vanilla Minecraft that causes "minecraft:lake" features and "minecraft:freeze_top_layer" features to crash when dealing with water, it was simply not possible to do this & keep using Epic Terrain Compatible :(
Maybe in a future version of the datapack I can delve deep into the nightmarish mess of density function and noise settings to add my own custom epic looking terrain when I have time, but for now, this is the best solution

Tweaked Temperature, Vegetation (Humidity), Erosion, Continents & Biome/Ridge size density function values in Epic Terrain Compatible to smoothen out the transitions between biomes, foliage, ridges, mountains, rivers, oceans, and make the overall scale of the world feel more grand and realistic in a way that fits the upcoming Wildborne modpack better

NEW FOSSIL STRUCTURES! - A much improved version of the vanilla fossils that can now generate BOTH on the surface of the world in certain biomes & underground in caves!

Above ground, surface level fossils generate in Desert, Badlands, Savanna, Jungle & Wasteland (If using Biomes O' Plenty) type biomes

Underground cave fossils generate in Dripstone, Lush, Sinkhole and specific modded caves (YUNG's Cave Biomes, Biomes We've Gone, Regions Unexplored & Biomes O' Plenty)

Updated "invalid_spawn_inside" & "overworld_carver_replaceable" block tags to prevent players from spawning in water, lava or other problematic and unfair locations, as well as improve Sinkhole carver generation to avoid anti-gravity blocks XD

- MAJOR QUICK HOTFIX - Changed the order of fossil features in the Badlands Sinkhole biome to match the Minecraft Desert biome so the datapack validates with Vanilla Minecraft and actually loads - Still HIGHLY recommend "WorldGen Feature Fix", "Feature Recycler" and "Lake Feature Fix" mods JUST IN CASE to prevent crashes and loading errors

5 NEW EPIC WILDBORNE BIOMES ADDED TO THE OVERWORLD! - The Sinkhole Biomes! - Based off a bug that was previously patched out of Minecraft 1.19.3 world generation - I've now added 5 different biomes with the chance of generating full fledged MASSIVE sinkholes! - The Desert Sinkhole, Badlands Sinkhole, Temperate Sinkhole, Icy Sinkhole and Jungle Sinkhole biomes!

Compatibility for Epic Terrain Compatible mod/datapack - I HIGHLY recommend using this in addition - that way you can have 400 block tall mountains with 450 block deep sinkholes that just add a breathtaking sense of wonder and adventure to any world!

Reordered ore/underground/underwater features in all Wildborne Sinkhole Biomes to be more consistent with Vanilla and rid the log of Feature Order Recycle Warnings using Feature Recycler and minimize crashes

Removed Ice Spike features from the Wildborne Icy Sinkhole biome specifically, as it caused issues with sinkhole generation

Tweaked the Sinkhole carver to be smoother with a trapezoidal distribution

Adjusted the maximum world height to be compatible with BOTH Epic Terrain Compatible AND Vanilla, depending on the world terrain generation density functions used

- TEMPORARILY REMOVED EXTRA GRASS, TALL GRASS & FERN PATCHES - This was the source of MAJOR lag upon world join, and until I have these values more fine-tuned, it's best to omit them so as not to sacrifice performance >.<
- REDUCED "cactus_patch_decorated" & "cactus_patch_desert" CACTUS FEATURE PLACEMENT COUNT - This was crowding out deserts and badlands TOO much - the current amounts are much more tasteful, but still fill the biomes out nicely
- ADDED { "required": false } DEFINITIONS TO MANY STRUCTURES/ITEM/BIOME TAGS THAT WERE LOADING BY DEFAULT - This allows Vanilla to load the WHOLE datapack without failing (Thereby preventing crashes), but ALSO allows these extra tags/features to load if the required mods are installed
- ADDED NEW ITEMS TO THE LIT ON FIRE MOD COMPATIBILITY TAGS TO BE ABLE TO LIGHT BLOCKS ON FIRE (This mainly affects the upcoming Wildborne Modpack itself, but is useful compatibility with the Soul Fire'd mod as well)
- REMOVED IRRELEVANT AND OLD UNUSED ITEMS FROM THE VillagerConfig TRADE TWEAKS - This should prevent crashes when the datapack loads with the VillagerConfig mod and the required other optional dependency mods
- REMOVED Serene Seasons compatibility/tag tweaks, as the weather mod used in the upcoming Wildborne Modpack, ProtoManly's Weather, recently updated with its own, now incompatible Seasons system
- REMOVED ALL "minecraft:lake" PLACED FEATURES FROM ALL VANILLA BIOMES TO PREVENT FEATURE ORDER CYCLE CRASHES WITH MOST TERRAIN MODS/DATAPACKS - This includes "minecraft:water_lake" & "minecraft:lava_lake_surface" & "minecraft:lava_lake_underground"
ADDITIONS (Mostly Experimental):
- Began experimenting with specific, special CUSTOM SET OF BIOMES for future Wildborne Modpack world generation - CURRENTLY ONLY WORK IN SINGLE BIOME WORLDS SET TO THESE BIOMES
- Began experimenting with a specific, special CUSTOM CONFIGURED CARVERS for these custom biomes
- Added these custom biomes to respective worldgen, structure, and biome tags for future consistency when added to the overworld generation
