Parasites: RTDL
A somewhat lightweight Scape and Run: Parasites modpack, aiming to be fair but still very challenging, to maintain performance, and use mods to make survival possible.
Run, Think, Defend, and Live.
Explore the world, make weapons, find valuable resources, make a strong base (perhaps, using abandoned bases?), and try to live, before all those things out there destroy you.
Scavenge for supplies, discover new items that can help in your survival, and cooperate with other survivors (more like, friends, if you have any).
Features
Parasites
Hostile beings that quickly adapt and evolve into creatures that can infect ANY living thing around them (except creepers for some reason), so you better do everything you can to prevent the destruction of your world!
Tools and Weaponry
Several items to aid you in survival, from backpacks and simple longswords, to guns, grenades, traps, and others.
A New Dimension(?)
A new dimension (or alternate universe), where the overworld has been taken by parasites a little earlier, with parasites on their last phase of evolution, feasting on what is left. There is some really overpowered loot you can find though. It is not recommended to enter unless you are prepared.
World Options
There are a few options for you to choose in, all with their own features.
I'll be making a survival guide for those who have NO idea what they're doing, so wait up for that!
I talked about world creation types you can choose from, down here!
Uses Vanilla Generator (Not recommended)
Default (Boring, isn't it? This won't get you anywhere.)
Lost Cities (Not intended for use anymore, as loot in chests are only intended for The Reflection to use.)
⭐ Biomes O' Plenty (Cool new biomes! A good choice for people who like the basic terrain generation 1.12.2 uses.)
Lost Cities + BOP (Not intended for use anymore, as loot in chests are only intended for The Reflection to use.)
Uses OTG Generator
To use these world options, you need to press the "Create OTG World" button in the world list, and pick between these two.
The Wildlands (Cool terrain generation, with huge mountains, volcanoes, and others. Though, doesn't generate any oceans, less structures (just think of it as a hard mode of some sort!) and is incompatible with Biomes O' Plenty.)
⭐ Biome Bundle O Plenty (The BEST choice here. Combines Biome Bundle, an extensive terrain generation mod, and Biomes O Plenty, one of the best biome extension mods out there. There are thousands of new places and structures for you to explore as well to aid in your survival!)
More Information down here:
The Reflection (new dimension)
Note: This dimension will get an overhaul featuring more immersive and bigger buildings/cities (I'm not sure if I'm able to do this), more loot to find, and not look so dry.
The Reflection, an Alternate Universe, where players were a successful civilization.
But, due to the parasitical infection arriving early in their universe, they went extinct, leaving nothing but a shell of what once was. This alternate universe has the parasites on the last stage of their evolution, only feasting on what is left.
Good part about this place though, is that it features REALLY good loot in the countless amounts of chests left behind by the players who once ruled (grenades, food, weapons, armor, etc.)
(psst, hey, if you really do decide to go in the reflection, i recommend going inside one of the buildings IMMEDIATELY, as they WILL hunt you down relentlessly, which is why it's a good idea to be prepared.)
To access The Reflection, you need a bed, 6 skulls or heads of any mob, and 2 Iron Blocks, and do a certain pattern.
1.) Place the bed
2.) Replace the flooring of the bed with Iron Blocks
3.) Place the skulls around it
4.) Keep another set of these blocks to go back to your regular overworld as once you go in there is no bed to be found

There is no goal here, all this shows is how you die.
This modpack is a VERY VERY heavy W.I.P. , expect unfair/unfinished gameplay, and bugs. But as updates go by I will continue balancing the experience and finishing the modpack.
Despite all the balancing changes I've made to the parasites, this modpack is still VERY unforgiving at times. One rupter can even one-tap you with no armor on (if they hit your head, that is), which is why armor is very important.
This modpack is intended to be played with friends, as you may struggle to survive by yourself (don't count on my word I'm not even good at my own modpack it may be a skill issue I just have).
Oh, and if you want to use the Essential Mod, you're gonna need to disable the Alfheim mod, no idea why they conflict with eachother considering they do completely different things.
To use the resource packs and shader packs in this mod pack, it is a requirement to manually install OptiFine for 1.12.2
You may need to allocate atleast 6-8 GB of RAM to Minecraft to run the shaders smoothly (atleast from my experience).
Once I get more gameplay shots while I playtest this modpack, I will also continue to add pictures to the gallery!
