UnstableSMPDeathSound is a Paper plugin built for high-stakes SMP servers. It adds a configurable death sound, optional death punishments, nearby-only system messages, chat control, and an immortality system for special players.
It is designed for servers that want stronger death feedback without requiring any client-side mods.
Features
- Play a custom sound whenever a player dies
- Use modern sound keys like
ENTITY.WITHER.SPAWN - Keep compatibility with legacy sound names like
ENTITY_WITHER_SPAWN - Limit death sound playback to nearby players only
- Restrict join, quit, and death messages to nearby players
- Disable chat entirely or switch it to proximity chat
- Kick or ban players on death
- Mark players as immortal so lethal damage is prevented
- Reload the plugin config without restarting the server
- No client mod required

Installation
- Put the plugin jar into your server's
